Cumberland Heights recently opened a new retreat in Lobelville, Tennessee, an hour west of Nashville. Still Waters is a 30-day, 12-Step immersion retreat for men, with an emphasis on spirituality experienced when working the steps of Alcoholics Anonymous/Narcotics Anonymous (AA/NA). Male residents live together in group fellowship along with counseling staff. In this way, fellowship develops into a true community whose members strive to help and encourage one another with recovery.
The Still Waters facility is a converted private residence nestled in the rolling hills of Perry County near the Buffalo River, amidst large tracts of rural forest and pasture lands. Within this 35-acre retreat, a main house provides dining services, meeting rooms, offices and housing for counseling staff. A four-room guesthouse near the heated pool and pool house can accommodate eight residents, who occupy semi-private rooms with private baths. Close by and down the drive is the cottage, which has capacity for six residents in semi-private accommodations with private baths, plus a living room and laundry facilities. Residents can meditate in the extensive gardens or the gazebo next to the creek.

Still Waters is not a traditional treatment program, we are a 12-step immersion program. Our approach to recovery is based on the concept of Fellowship and the Spiritual Principles of Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous. We believe by developing strong ties with the 12-step community the chances of success increase exponentially.
Testimonials
Still Waters, discovery & recovery happen here! This is also a place where you will find spiritually & love for your fellow man. This program let me find out who I was & what I could offer others.~ Gene A. (Alumni, Pittsburgh, PA.)
I would like to thank Still Waters and their staff for saving my life. When I hobbled into Still Waters I was beaten and broken. Alcohol and Drugs had taken control of my life to an extent that I didn't even realize. But through this program I was able to get my life back.
~ Ryan H. (Alumni, Sort Knobs, IN.)
